Airbnb’s most wish-listed listings in the world for 2023

In January, Airbnb announced the list of the most wanted new global lists of 2023.

Each of the 13 listings achieved “most liked” status after being listed for just 10 weeks, and could have had some help from some of the new ways the site can categorize listings — as trending” and “top of the world”. That new feature in November 2022.

13 locations spread across six countries and four continents, from a cottage to a guesthouse on a working family’s farm.

Hidden paradise – Cape Town, South Africa

This 5-bedroom villa overlooks Hout Bay Beach and features an open plan kitchen and living area with fireplace with mountain views.

The house’s master bedroom has its own bathroom, and the other four bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and share two bathrooms. The stay includes housekeeping Monday through Friday.

Joshua Tree Invisible House – Joshua tree, Calif.

This iconic home is called the Invisible House and was designed by film producer Chris Hanley. The mirrored 22-story horizontal skyscraper measures 5,500 square feet and sits on 90 acres.

The invisible house has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Some of the amenities include a 100-foot indoor pool, remote-controlled blackout curtains, and a 13-foot dining table with through-the-wall views of the rocks.

In January, the house was listed for sale for $18 million, according to architecture digest.

JT Luxury Villa – Joshua tree, Calif.

The desert hotel has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, complete with a king bed and a queen bed. Guests also have the option of renting a casita bedroom, which can accommodate an additional four guests.

Amenities include a private hot tub, swimming pool, outdoor BBQ, patio area, outdoor shower, and propane fire pit.

Since Casa Coyotes is custom designed and features kitchen, bathroom, and plaster floors, the owners provide natural shampoo, conditioner, hand and body wash in their bathrooms as well as toiletries. Cleaner in the kitchen to protect surfaces.

Le Moulin Vert – Varen, France

This restored 13th-century mill has its own pond and river. The hotel has reused and upgraded furniture and furnishings.

The property’s owners say this rental is best for families, couples or friends but they don’t allow babies or pets.

“The interior is a mix of French, Moroccan, English and Indian, somehow all sitting comfortably together in the rustic stone walls of the 13th-century mill, ” the list states.

Luxury small house with glass – Warren, Vermont

This tiny house, with breathtaking views, is located in the heart of the Green Mountains in Vermont. It was built in Estonia and has a Scandinavian design.

The lawn on which the cottage is located allows for activities such as partying by the fire pit, playing in the corn hole, soaking in the hot tub or overlooking the Sugarbush ski resort and its trails it.

The house is also equipped with a heated floor and a shower. The apartment has a queen bed, a kitchen with a stovetop and a mini-fridge.

Mtn Private Retreat – Green Ribs, Georgia

This bungalow at the Highlands Hideaway in Blue Ridge, Georgia, has three bedrooms, one bedroom and three full bathrooms.

It is also equipped with three decks, a hot tub and a fire pit. The cabin also has a games room with Mrs. Pac-Man, connects four oversized people and a tic-tac-toe table to make it the ultimate gaming experience.

Beautiful A-frame retreat – Grass Valley, Calif.

Nestled in the historic mining town of Grass Valley, California, this triangular bungalow has plenty of space to offer. The Triangle Farm is located on 3.25 private acres and boasts 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.

Outside the main house is a hot tub, a basketball court, a fenced dog area, and a children’s treehouse. There is also a deck and patio with a large picnic table for al fresco dining.

shack tower – Wide Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada

If you are looking for an alternative place to stay, this cabin-like tower is the place for you. This house is built on 30-foot steel legs and offers 360-degree views of the surrounding La Have Cape and other La Have Islands. The decks have two alcoves, one facing west and the other east.

According to the listing, the east-facing alcove is home to the hotel’s hot tub, “perfectly oriented for moonrise and sunrise”.

Taos Skybox “Stargazer” Desert Retreat – El Prado, New Mexico

Taos Skybox “Stargazer” is a sustainably built, one bedroom, one bathroom structure located on 30 acres of private land. It has a full kitchen, laundry, internet, one bedroom and one bathroom.

Located at 7,000 feet above sea level, the house offers 360-degree views of the Taos Valley. The listing said it was “purposefully built to take advantage of the dark skies and endless vistas of the desert landscape overhead.”

It is located in Bralanda, Sweden, which means guests have access to the public beach at Lake Vänern.

Little house ‘Tally-Ho’ – Hawson, South Australia, Australia

This cottage in Hawson, South Australia, Australia was built between 2018 and 2019. The house has its own solar panel system and eco-composting toilet.

The owner of the listing provides guests with firewood for both Indoor wood burning stove and outdoor fire pits. The apartment has 1 queen bed in the master bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room.
