Godolphin is poised to announce some of its biggest stars at another key hurdle test series at Randwick on Monday, although its main draw card is even closer to the race back.
Coach James Cummings Confirmed Caulfield Guineas winner and Cox Tấm sheet Runner-up Anamoe is likely to continue in Highway Pile Group 2 (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday, has pleased the stables since he returned to work.
“He’s had a good break and he looks like he’s fully loaded, ready for a busy fall,” Cummings said.
“We’ll probably see him start next weekend on the Highway.”
Godolphin’s three-year-old Paulele, top mares Colette and Cascadian will all be on trial at Randwick on Monday as they prepare for their respective operations.
Paulele captured the Group 2 Roman Consular Stakes in the spring and finished second to the Winner of Group 1 then the Department of the Interior in Heritage Shares before the end of the track behind the same horse in Coolmore Stud . Shares.
He will probably start his campaign on Saturday in Prince Eskimo (1200m) at Randwick and Cummings hopes he can continue to progress.
“He was an excellent pony,” he said.
“It would be nice to see him on Prince Eskimo’s first session and he can put on a really big sprint this fall. That’s what we’re looking for in him.”
Group 1 winner JJ Atkins Converge will also take part in the hurdle trials on Monday and is likely to face his first clash with Paulele in Prince Eskimo.
The three-year-old’s spring campaign was cut short after one run but co-trainer Adrian Bott said the boy spelled well and relationships are expecting an effective preparation.
“He’s going to have a second trial, then he’s likely going to be on the three-year road to Derby, through both the Guineas and Hobartville races,” Bott said.
“He was pretty cheated (in the spring) but he had a good time off, well rested and he’s back in good shape.”
Runners Everest Lost And Running and Eduardo will also test out at Randwick on Monday.
