Anne Hecheeldest son of Homer Laffoon is speaking out after the tragic death of his mother.
Anne was involved in a car crash last week near Los Angeles’ Mar Vista neighborhood; she crashed her car into a stranger’s house, and caused a fire. According to reports, the actress was trapped in her brilliance Mini Cooper for over an hour before paramedics were able to rescue her. The woman who lived in the house she destroyed went out almost unharmed, but the 53-year-old woman was in a coma and remained in critical condition for almost a week. Heche left two sons, 13 years old Atlas Heche Tupper and 20-year-old Homer. In a statement to ETHer eldest son described his “sorrow without words”:
“My brother Atlas and I lost our mother. After six days of almost unbelievable emotional change, I was left with a deep, wordless sadness. “
He continued in tearful emotion to describe what he believes to be his mother’s “eternal freedom”:
“Hopefully my mother is pain free and begins to discover what I wanted to imagine as her eternal freedom.”
He also thanked “thousands” of “friends, family and fans” for showing their love to him during such a difficult time, as well as for supporting his father and stepmother. :
“In those six days, thousands of friends, family and fans made their hearts to know me. I am grateful for their love as well as the support of my father, Coley, and stepmother Alexi, who continue to be my rock during this time. “
He ended his sentence with nothing but love for his late mother:
“Rest in peace mom, I love you.”

Heche’s family confirmed her passing on Friday afternoon in a statement to TMZ:
“We have lost a bright light, a kindest and most joyful soul, a loving mother and a faithful friend. Anne will be greatly missed but she lives on thanks to her beautiful sons, her iconic work body and her passionate advocacy. Her courage to stand up for her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact. “
A good friend of Volcano actress Nancy Davis also confirmed the tragedy above Instagram says her friend “went to heaven”:
“Heaven has a new Angel. My loving, kind, cheerful, lovable and beautiful friend @anneheche has gone to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the good memories we shared. Anne has always been the kindest, most caring person and always brings out the best in me. She’s very supportive of anything that can be done to help @racetoerasems and will always say yes when she knows she can contribute something with her time, talent and creative genius to help find a way. treatments for MS. My heart is broken.”
