VADODARA: Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national summoner Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday promised that if his party were to vote to take power in the December election, it would implement the old pension scheme for government employees in Gujarat like Punjab.

The comments came as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi earlier the same day assured that if elected to power in Gujarat, his party would restore the old pension system.
“Like Punjab, we will deploy OPS in Gujarat,” said the chief minister of Delhi.

Kejriwal said state employees play a big role in electing or defeating the government.
He urged them to promote AAP and work to overthrow the BJP government, which has been in power in Gujarat for the past 27 years.

Asked by a group of retired officials who cast doubt on his alleged attempt to “entice” civil servants in Gujarat to help AAP in the upcoming poll, Kejriwal said they had never raised the issue. employee protection and corruption in Gujarat.
