Footage from Assassin’s Creed Jade, an upcoming mobile game in China, appears to have leaked. The video shows movement and combat, which appears to be one of the early parts of the game.
According to a report from VGC, footage leaked on Reddit and appears to be from the original build. The game, recorded from an iPhone, sometimes displays a watermark stating that “This is an early version of the game and does not represent the final quality of the product.” The leaked footage appears to be from the game’s prologue, the tutorial. It shows a character jumping over part of the Great Wall of China, when a village outside it is under attack by Xiongnu. The touchscreen controls are visible, but the overall look and gameplay is similar to recent console Assassin’s Creed games, complete with minimaps, target markers and markers. and light/heavy attacks.
In Jade, players will create their own characters, instead of seeing the return of protagonist Shao Jun in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles. Assassin’s Creed Jade has been announced with three other Assassin’s Creed games this early year. Another untitled mobile game is being developed in partnership with Netflix and will launch exclusively on the streaming platform.
