“At least win your own…”: Akash Chopra’s fan claims only Pakistan can beat India in India

Rohit Sharma led the way with a 56-match unbeaten run after India beat Australia in 177 runs at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur on Thursday. India is 77 to 1 at the base of the tree on Day One, needing 101 more runs to get ahead of the guests. Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss and hit the club first, but a collective bowling effort led by Ravindra Jadeja found the decision to be counterproductive. Jadeja won a five-stroke and Ravichandran Ashwin pick three when India eliminated Australia with a negligible total score.

Posting India’s dominant performance on the opening day of the First Test, former cricketer and commentator Akash Chopra asked on Twitter: “What if the ‘best chance to hit the ball’ defeating India in India’ turns out to be a farce?”

To this, one fan, probably from Pakistan, said: “Only Pakistan is capable of beating India in India.”

However, it was Chopra’s answer that attracted attention.

“I love your positivity but janaab, aap Apne ghar ki series toh Jeet lo (But boy, at least win your own home series). With Australia, England and NZ at home. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and WI in the away series, Pakistan should have reached the WTC final,” Chopra wrote.

In detailing the match on Day One, Jadeja took a five-stroke streak in her international comeback as India dominated the opening day of the First Test against Australia. Jadeja returned a 5 for 47 and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took three shots to beat Australia 177 in the final session at Nagpur. In response, India is 77 to 1, with captain Rohit Sharma 56 and Ashwin, yet to score, in the lead. The home team is still 100 runs behind Australia.

The only racquet that India has lost so far is KL Rahulwho has earned 20 workers.
