BCCI plans day-night Test against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Cricket Council of India (BCCI) is planning to hold the Pink Balls Day-Night Competition this year Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. TOI understands that the board is keen to hold the Test series with Sri Lanka to Bengaluru despite the possibility of limited locations due to the Covid-19 wave.
The tour will likely start with three T20Is instead of the Test because the player transitions from bubble to bubble are smoother. Both teams will play T20Is before the series begins.

However, it remains unclear whether Bengaluru will be the site of the First Test, which is also believed to be Virat kohli100th.
To cut down on hectic commutes, the board is contemplating playing most of the movies in Dharamshala and Mohali before moving to Bengaluru to end the international season at home.
According to the original itinerary, Bengaluru and Mohali were supposed to hold Test matches before the three T20I were scheduled to compete in Mohali, Dharamshala and Lucknow.
“It’s likely that the first two T20I’s to begin the tour will be played in Dharamshala before the series moves to Mohali for the third T20I and the first Test. Lucknow may miss hosting the T20I. There’s the Pink Ball Trial. The experience in Mohali is difficult as the dew is expected to play a big role. However, BCCI is still monitoring the situation of Covid-19 in the country. A final call to adjust the schedule will be made soon.” , a BCCI source said.
If the First Quiz could be played in Bengaluru, it would be a suitable setting for KohliTest 100 as a former India team captain has a strong fan base in the city.
