Gurugram-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Benling India has launched an electric scooter on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Day. The scooter is named ‘Believe’ and the company says the main focus of this scooter is on safety. Benling Believe has a price 97,520 (factory) and offered with six color options. The claimed driving range on a single charge of the scooter is 120 km in Eco mode and Sport mode, the riding range is 70-75 km. The big highlight of the scooter is the intelligent Crash Assist function that helps the driver move smoothly for a distance of 25 km in the event of a crash, just by holding a knob. The warranty for scooters is 50,000 km or 36 months whichever comes earlier.
The battery pack on the Benling Believe is a replaceable part. The LFP battery comes with a micro charger and an automatic shut-off system. The battery can be fully charged in about four hours. The BLDC motor has a capacity of 3.2 kWh and is waterproof. The scooter’s top speed is 75 km/h and weighs 248 kg, which is quite a lot. Benling India says Believe can hit 40 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
The scooter’s feature list includes multiple speed modes, keyless start, parking assist function, mobile app connectivity, real-time tracking, mobile charging, regenerative braking and anti-theft alarm. The Believe comes with a 250 kg payload. Braking duties are performed by a disc at the front as well as at the rear.
