Beterbiev gets payback for Yarde’s comments: “He made a mistake”
Artur Beterbiev mocked Anthony Yarde after his win in their dramatic clash at the OVO Arena this past weekend.
Yarde did an interview around the time the match was first announced, where he said he thought Beterbiev looked slow in his win over Joe Smith Jr last year.
And in press conference after the gameBeterbiev admits Yarde’s words keep ringing in his ears – and he thinks the Briton is someone who lacks speed.
“He watched my last game and said I was slow, so during the game I thought ‘why is he saying I’m slow? He’s slow – not me!’ I think he made a mistake.”
