President Joe Biden will mark the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine this month with a visit to NATO ally Poland, the White House said on Friday.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden will travel February 20-22, meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda and also with members of the Bucharest Nine, a group of NATO members in Eastern Europe.
He will “discuss our bilateral cooperation as well as our collective efforts to support Ukraine and strengthen NATO’s deterrence capabilities,” she said.
Mrs. Biden will deliver a speech marking February 24 “the one-year anniversary of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, referring to how the United States has rallied the world to support the people of Ukraine as they How to defend your freedom and democracy,” she said. .
