“It was born out of real ownership that I call a radical baggage about myself, being really brutally honest with me and… taking into account people I may have hurt and moments where I just made a mistake,” the American Oscar-winning actor and film producer told YLE.
From the Cave, known for his dark baritone as the frontman for the band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the exhibition features a series of ceramic figurines depicting the lives of demons. He designed, painted and enameled 17 figures from 2020 to this year.
“I want to be the devil because I like red. And I like the red enamel color,” Cave told YLE. “In the end I decided to do the devil’s life story. For me personally, it says something about the idea of being forgiven or the need to be forgiven. It’s a very personal job for me. “
The exhibition opens on Sunday and runs until January 15, 2023.
