Comcast hits 6Gbps download speeds over cable in recent ’10G’ test

“This architecture covers the majority of the Comcast network and is easily and quickly replicated as network environments may vary,” Comcast said. “As a result, a successful trial is key to making 10G available to all Comcast customers.”

When Comcast starts offering 10G service next year, users should theoretically be able to download and upload files at multi-gigabit speeds.
