Secretary General of the National Assembly and Chief Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that in the first phase of the campaign, workers and regular residents of the National Assembly will demonstrate outside their homes and in public places on March 31.
He said people would string up LPG cylinders, beat drums and ring bells to highlight the inflation problem and seek to attract the attention of the “deaf BJP government” against the insurmountable rise in prices. cooking gas, gasoline and diesel oil.
“The Speaker of the National Assembly, in consultation with the general secretaries of the party and in charge of state, has decided to support the people’s cause in a three-stage program – Mehngai-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,” Surjewala said.
He added that from April 2 to April 4, the Congress together with non-governmental organizations, religious, social and population welfare organizations will hold prayers and marches. at district level nationwide.
On April 7, the party will hold “Mehngai-mukt Bharat” festivals and marches at all state headquarters with the help of social and religious organizations, non-governmental organizations and the people, Surjewala said.
“The people of India have been betrayed and deceived by the Modi (Narendra) government. , the past week has been a nightmare for every household,” he added.
Surjewala pointed out that the Center once again raised gasoline and diesel prices by 80 paise per liter on Saturday – the fourth increase in five days – for a total of Rs 3.2 per liter.
The decision to launch the incitement was made at a meeting of the general secretaries of the National Assembly and in charge of state here on Saturday. The meeting also discussed the development of party members and the current political situation of the country.
Over the past few days, Congress has heavily targeted the government on the issue of price increases, especially fuel prices.

In a tweet in Hindi, the speaker of Parliament Randeep Surjewala said, “Inflation in Modi government – new day, same problem. This morning also started with rising prices. Today rate increased by Rs 0.80 again.”
“Every day a new diesel/petrol ratio in new India, four attacks in five days, robbing Rs. 3.2/L,” he said.
“BJP continues – swearing-in celebration, the public suffers from inflation every day?” Surjewala said.
His remarks came a day after the BJP government led by Yogi Adityanath was sworn in in Uttar Pradesh. BJP won four out of five council polls in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa and Punjab. AAP came to power in Punjab.
