Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s Bugatti Veyron crashed while being transported from Majorca in Spain to Mallorca.
Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo is known for owning a collection of expensive supercars, including a £1.8 million Bugatti Veyron. Unfortunately, the supercar crashed into a house in Majorca, Spain on Monday, as reported by local media. Ronaldo is currently on vacation on the island with his family who have moved his car to Mallorca, EL Periodico reported.
The report said that at the time of the accident, the Veyron supercar was being driven by one of Ronaldo’s employees. This person appears to have lost control of the vehicle, leading to it crashing into the gate of a house. Fortunately, no injuries were recorded as a result of the incident, although the supercar received some serious damage, especially the front end.
The investigation revealed that no other vehicle was involved in the crash but the front end of the Bugatti Veyron is believed to have suffered mass destruction. Repairing the car is expected to generate a long bill for the football players.
Ronaldo has a knack for expensive supercars and his collection is also the most expensive car in the world Bugatti La Voiture Noire. He gifted the car to himself in August 2020 as a reward for helping his club, Italian giants Juventus, win the 36a Serie A championship. The car is only available in ten models around the world and is worth around 8.5 million euros (about 75 crore).
Other supercars located in Ronaldo’s garage include Ferrari 599 GTO, Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren MP4 12C, among others. He regularly shares photos of his cars over time with his millions of followers on social media. In addition to a car, the Portuguese star also owns a luxury yacht worth £5.5 million, 88 feet long, has 5 different luxury cabins and 6 specially decorated bathrooms.
