Cristiano Ronaldo’s views on GOAT debate re-emerge after Lionel Messi’s Qatar World Cup victory

Have Lionel Messi settle the ‘Greatest of All Time’ debate by winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina? For a long time, Messi and ronaldo even on par, with both dominating football with their performances at club level. Even at the international level, there is little difference between the two. Before the start of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Ronaldo was asked if winning the trophy would settle the ‘GOAT’ debate.

Although it was Messi who went on to go all the way through the tournament, with Argentina beating France in the final on penalties, Ronaldo’s comments on the subject resurfaced. In a conversation with the media before the World Cup began, Ronaldo said that the debate would not stop even if he and Portugal win the World Cup.

“Even if I win the World Cup, it will continue. Some people like me more, some less. In life, too, some people like blondes, some like brunettes,” he said today. 11/21.

“I always have to show what I can do year after year, especially for myself, my family and the fans. Everyone has their own opinion. I respect that.” he added.

At the time, Ronaldo said that he really wanted to win the World Cup, which had never happened in his career before. But, even if he doesn’t, he’ll be happy considering all he’s achieved.

“I will live to win this tournament. I have a lot of ambition but if you tell me I won’t win any more then I will still be happy with all that I have won. ok I will be satisfied with my performance other records will be there But obviously a World Cup being held won’t be bad It will be a dream I hope all the energy goes to the right and towards us,” he said.

Ronaldo and Messi have dominated football for almost two decades. At club level, the two superstars have shared top honors between them for more than a decade. But, with Messi finally winning the ‘biggest prize in world football’, there are those who feel that the Argentinian has a clear lead over Ronaldo in the ‘GOAT debate’.
