(Reuters) – Drugstore chains CVS Health Corp (NYSE: NYSE) and Walgreens Boots Alliance (NASDAQ:) Inc have restricted their purchases of pain relievers for children as they face supply constraints and high demand with the United States. is experiencing one of its worst flu seasons in a decade.
CVS said there is currently a two-product limit on all children’s pain products at all drugstores and online, while Walgreens said it has placed a limit of six pain relievers. over-the-counter fever for kids for every online transaction.
Bloomberg Law, which first reported the purchase limit, said US supermarket chain Kroger (NYSE:) Co is also placing a limit on purchases of two children’s pain relievers.
Kroger did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
