Dead Cells has more difficulty and accessibility options

Dead cellsMetroidvania has high difficulty fake breed from Motion Twin, just got a huge update. The “Breaking Barriers” update brings a new set of accessibility features and difficulty levels to the game years after it was first released in early access.

Breaking Barriers is “all about creating Dead cells more accessible to everyone,” The developers explained in a video. The update will add two main sets of options to the game – accessibility and assist mode – and it’s available now on Windows PCs and consoles.

Accessibility options will help players with visual cues and mobility, while assist mode will allow players to adjust the difficulty of the game. Assist mode brings brand new options, such as an “auto-hit” mode that will target nearby enemies and a resume mode that allows you to start over each run at the top biomes instead of starting over completely. There are a lot of new features and you can explore them all in patch notes.

The developers said while they originally imagined Dead cells “tough but fair”, which has prevented some players from playing the game. “The new options we’re introducing here will allow these players to make game-specific, game-specific adjustments to remove the barrier that prevents them from having that experience, rather than offering options that are not specific to the game itself. choose arbitrary difficulty,” said one developer.
