Destiny 2 will get a new dungeon on December 9

As Season of Plunder draws to a close, Bungie has begun to reveal what’s next for Fate 2 in Season 19. One activity the studio confirmed this week in its weekly blog post is a new dungeon, which will arrive on December 9 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET . This new high-level PvE event will take place from the first Friday of Season 19, but Bungie hasn’t shared any further details about the enemies players will encounter or where they’ll be.

The previous dungeons mainly had rogue Cabal forces, Taken armies, Hive and Fallen legions, though Vex and Scorn have been strangely missing. Vex in particular has been largely left out since Season of the Splicer, while Scorn is present in The Witch Queen expansion and plays a larger role in the Season of the Haunted storyline.

This will also be the first dungeon since Duality, was released back in May. In that particular encounter, the warriors must board the Derelict Leviathan and adventure into the landscape of the former Cabal emperor, Calus, with rewards including a potentially falling Heartshadow Exotic sword.

In other Destiny 2 news, minor changes to all four subclasses in Season 19 and a larger overhaul to these Guardian powers is being planned after the launch of the Lightfall expansion on February 28, 2023. Bungie has also issued a PSA to PS5 playersto remind them that the free current generation upgrade is available to anyone still playing the PS4 version of the game on newer PlayStation hardware.
