The hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) test tells you your average blood sugar level over the past two to three months, and fasting glucose measures your blood sugar levels after a night of fasting.
Informed consent was obtained from all patients and ethical approval from the institution’s ethics committee.
What did the researchers find?
All parameters significantly reduced fasting blood sugar and HbA1c in the apple cider vinegar and metformin groups compared with metformin alone.
However, there were no significant differences in post-treatment comparisons for weight and Body Mass Index between the two groups.
