Difference between Zika virus, dengue and chikungunya explained

Epidemiologically, all three infections can occur at any age. However, according to health experts, Zika poses a significant burden of disease for children and pregnant women.
A first dengue infection can be serious, especially for the elderly and those with pre-existing medical conditions.
In the case of chikungunya, those at serious risk include infants exposed during birth, older adults over 65 years of age, and people with underlying medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease.
