CNG prices in the Delhi NCR area surged once again, along with petrol and diesel prices today. IGL raised the price of CNG today by 2.5 per kilogram.

Between petrol and diesel prices increaseCNG vehicle owners are also facing the heat of price increases on a regular basis. On Wednesday, Indraprastha Gas Limited once again raised the price of compressed natural gas, which is used as a fuel in public transport as well as private vehicles widely in Delhi NCR. The most recent price hike has increased the cost of CNG 2.5 per kilogram.

According to the latest increase, CNG price in Delhi today has reached 66.61 a kilogram. CNG prices in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad have increased 69.18 per kilogram. At Gurugram, the price per kg of CNG is the most expensive in Delhi NCR area. 73.86 per kilogram. Price difference in different parts of Delhi NCR also depends on state tax as it covers areas of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

The latest increase was the third within the first six days of April. CNG price in Delhi NCR has increased more than 8 per kilogram for the past five days. On Monday, the price of CNG received a similar level Increase 2.5 per kg.

Since January of this year, the price of CNG has increased by about 13 per kg so far. The increase comes as a result of a sharp increase in global gas prices. The recent fuel price hike has also seen gasoline and diesel prices hit new highs. In the past 16 days, petroleum companies have increased fuel prices 14 times. In general, gasoline and diesel prices have become more expensive due to 10 per liter for the past few weeks.

Rising CNG prices may affect sales of CNG vehicles in the coming days. Often considered one of the greener and budget-friendly modes of commuting, CNG cars have seen a significant rise in the past few months. From April to November last year, sales of CNG cars increased by 56% with 1,36,357 units sold during that period.
