Gold Coast Bracelet winner Dy Kingdoms will replace her in the Queensland Oaks, provided she is happy with the stables in a key game on Tuesday.
Co-trainer Peter Snowden believes this girl has a good reason as she was beaten so well in her final lead at Rosehill and has weathered the defeat so well he has no reason not to join. join the Group 1 race on Saturday, especially with the prospect of a more solid track.
“She has 59-1/2 (kg) on her back, she’s a stout three-year-old compared to older horses and she’s completely underpowered, but it’s a run I want her to take. yes,” Snowden said.
“I wanted to see more of that, but it was a really, really heavy song.
“I had an open mind I was going to bring her up (to Brisbane) after that, but she’s been doing great since then, her job was great this morning (Saturday) and there was no sign there to say don’t go, or that she was tired or gone.
“As long as she’s back to work on Tuesday, she’ll take her place there.”
Adding to Snowden’s elation was top equestrian James Mcdonald confirmed to team up with the Dyoners in Group 1.
McDonald’s got on board for her Gold Coast Bracelet win and, like Snowden, remains confident she can make it to the finish line if she repeats the effort.
“He stuck with her. He was quite into her and she was good for him,” said Snowden.
Snowden Racing is off to a great start to the Brisbane winter festival, winning a major title double with Mazu in the Doomben 10,000 and Huetor winning Zaaki’s scalp in the Doomben Cup.
