Eddie hears Simon Jordan’s call to retract ‘racist’ comments

While their back and forth used to be relatively fun on the part of Eddie Hearn, the promoter took it seriously one of Simon Jordans’ latest statements.

In its latest attempt to get those involved to answer questions about the ongoing Conor Benn story in which the boxer failed two drug tests, TalkSPORT’s Jordan called those working for Hearn as ‘his small group of refugees from the Wizard of Oz.’

When asked about the words of IFL TVMatchroom’s boss said he felt offended by his employees.

“Honestly, I think it’s pretty racist. I mean I think he just lost his mind making comments like that. That’s pretty frustrating for the people who work for Matchroom, which I take very seriously. When he wanted to come out and say ‘I don’t want to fight Eddie Hearn’ … you called me a coward, and now you are abusing the people who work for my company. So I don’t really want to talk about it to be honest with you.”

“He lost his head. He’s all confused and he’s saying stupid things like that – and they should take it back. TalkSPORT should also retract that. “

Elsewhere in the monologue, the podcast host turned down Hearn’s offer of a charity fight and listed questions he’d like answered regarding Conor Benn – which includes how he failed the tests and why it seems that the public was wrong on the date when all parties knew about the drug discovery?

Jordan, who is known for his lengthy radio debates, will certainly have something to say in defense of Hearn’s rebuttal, so the relationship between the pair looks set to continue. – though perhaps not on the original topic.
