Expat pilot gets into trouble with Air Force | India News

MUMBAI/DELHI: One airline alliance foreign pilots detained for several hours by air Force security officer in Uttarlai Air Force Station, Rajasthan recently for allegedly taking restricted airport photos and videos with his mobile phone. The pilot was operating a charter flight to Delhi when he was confronted. The IAF has filed a formal complaint with General Department of Civil Aviationa source said.
The incident occurred on January 9 when Alliance Air charter flight 9I962, with 23 passengers on board ATR 72-600 (VT-AIZ), was about to depart from uttarlai to Delhi. “The boarding started when the pilot, a Brazilian citizen, started recording video of the air station. I don’t know if he took the photo out of curiosity, passion for aviation or any other reason. He was arrested by IAF security personnel and detained for questioning,” a source said.
