Since the pandemic occurred, many trends from rumbling ’20s and beyond the 80s has returned. It means: Flapper era – overflowing The great Gatsby-beautiful parties and sequins – followed World War I. Meanwhile, the ’80s spanned two decades of social and political upheaval (sound familiar?). Thanks to the recent wave of Omicrons, we’re not in full party mode yet. It’s good that designers are bringing trends, like tassels, party wear and manifesto sleeves, in ways we can wear in everyday life. Fendi’s fall 2021, for example, includes furry, fringed coats paired with minimalist slip dress, while Proenza Schouler presents works adorned with other simple silhouettes.
