Frank Warren updates on buying Fury-Chisora PPV after Eddie Hearn Dig

Frank Warren has claimed that the pay-per-view numbers for Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora reported by Eddie Hearn are false.
Events saw 60,000 fans flock to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the winter to watch Fury defend his WBC belt against a brave but incompetent Chisora.
Referee Victor Loughlin ordered the tenth inning to stop after a one-way strike from near the first bell.
There has been much talk – and outrage – about the record-high pay-per-view price of £26.95 and rival advertisers, Hearn, has since stated that less than 300,000 punters have paid to watch.
Talking to seconds outWarren says that’s not true and has criticized Hearn’s move of broadcasting from Sky Sports to the streaming platform, DAZN.
“As you know, one of our competitors kept raving about the numbers we had achieved. I don’t know where he got the numbers from but I’ll tell you – we did more than buy than they had subscribers on dead zones [DAZN.]”
“We did well. It provided what it needed and we were all happy where we were. More importantly, it has now established us where we need to be next year with these big fights for Tyson and the other heavyweights in our cage.
It is important to get out of the compulsion, and it is important for him to run at full strength before this fight. We have a big battle coming up in March.”
When pushed for a single figure, the Queensberry promoter and longtime Fury associate said the event sold ‘over half a million’.
The back-and-forth takes place amid an ongoing controversy in the sport regarding the star power of boxers and the possibility of selling out tickets. Hearn remains adamant that his curator, Anthony Joshua, is more of a draw than world champion.
However, Fury’s team is now more concerned with legacy as they head towards an undisputed showdown with Oleksandr Usyk early next year.
