Ralf Rangnick evaluates Leeds to win

It’s only mid-February, but it already feels like the ramblings around Manchester United vacancies have been going on forever.

There is never any hint that a quick appointment is recorded on the following card Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hit by United in November, but without an appointment until the summer, the story has turned thin with some fans.

Recent reports indicate that the club has at least start the appointment processwith both Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag were still voted as the two preferred candidates.

But whether the club can actually oversee an efficient recruitment process to determine their main pick remains to be seen.

Solskjaer’s exit, and subsequent arrival of Ralf Rangnick on an interim basis until the end of the season, is a real opportunity for Manchester United to make the structural changes the club so desperately needs to become a mainstay at the height of the campaign. Premier League once again.

But they didn’t.

Join the debate! Who do you think Man Utd should appoint as the new head coach? Let us know here.

Fred was successful at the Manchester United hierarchy because of their nonexistent long-term plan

Rangnick alluded to that last week when he admitted he didn’t know what the real money was Darren Fletcher Actually.

The former United midfielder’s official title is technical director, but his regular presence in matches is already special enough.

Although Rangnick has made it clear that Fletcher’s presence is a good thing, his remarks do not exactly paint the Manchester United hierarchy in a particularly brilliant light. How can any top club operate that way?

The club hierarchy is an absolute mess – and that’s the real problem at Old Trafford right now.

It’s hard to imagine people like Pochettino or Ten Hag thriving while working with messy clothes above them.

And the most alarming aspect of that is that things are only going to get worse in that respect. Rangnick will move into a two-year advisory role at the end of the season, which will see him sit alongside United’s director of football, John Murtough, and Fletcher – who exactly will do the scenes? And that doesn’t even need to bring in a new CEO Richard Arnold into the mixture.

It’s an extremely apologetic state when you consider that the club had months to get their house before an appointment.

The wild thing is that they still have time to do it – but you wouldn’t bet they actually did it.

And because of that, to some extent, it doesn’t really matter who replaces Rangnick from Rangnick in the summer.

Manchester United no longer has a hierarchy that matches a top club; Regardless of who the club appoints, that will have to change if United have any aspirations to be a successful football club again.

Those clothes that get caught up in the power vacuum in the Old Trafford boardroom really need to get their work done. There is no coherent long-term plan at the club – something even the playing team is beginning to realize.

“That’s a bit odd,” said Fred, who emphasized a similar point Tuesday night.

“I think it’s a bit bad that we don’t have [a permanent boss]. For now, it’s all about short-term goals.

“We don’t know how things will be after the end of this season.

“With all due respect to Villarreal, our mission was to win the Europa League final last season and we failed.

“It’s about planning better football at the club – if you don’t want to win trophies, you don’t deserve to play for Manchester United.

“We are still in the Champions League but let’s see if we get to next season better to find our top football again. ”
