The Genshin effectThe next update to version 2.4 will be out on January 5, Mihoyo announced this weekend. Titled “Flashing Colors in Flight,” the update features the submerged ruins of Enkanomiya, “sealed for thousands of years beneath Inazuma,” the developers said.
“Flashing Colors in Flight” will also include two new playable characters, the five-star Shenhe and the four-star Yun Jin. Both are excellent shooters and useful support characters for your team. They’ll take on new enemies from deep within Enkanomiya, including Bathysmal Vishaps, described as “skillful social predators that can hunt together and utilize their surroundings in combat. “
As for the new territory, Enkanomiya is both “a giant floating island” located “under the ocean”, the Mihoyo report said, and it is “continuously eroded by the Abyss.” Underwater, Enkanomiya does not have the day and night cycle (although time still passes) of the surface. “Players will find a way to utilize Dainichi Mikoshi, the artificial sun developed by an ancient civilization,” says Mihoyo, “as they delve into the puzzles and depths of Enkanomiya.”
World New Year above means new games, stalls, vendors “and all sorts of festivals” in Livue Harbour; seasonal events that offer a chance to get free four-star Livue characters (eight in all); 10 intertwined fates; and the chance to help Ningugang rebuild the Chamber of Gems.
The Genshin effect originally launched in September 2020 and coming to PlayStation 5 in April 2021. The free-to-play, open-world action role-playing game now lets players explore Livue Harbour, Inazuma, and Mondstadt, three of number seven cities in the larger Tevyat kingdom.
