Gervonta Davis beat kt Rolly Romero

Via Jack Tiernan: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis (27-0.25 KOs) held on to her ‘regular’ WBA lightweight title with a one-punch knockout in the sixth round against strong challenger Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero (14- 1, 12 KOs)

In game six, Tank had a great left counter-attack that took out kt Rolly. Gervonta’s shot was too big for Rolando to recover and be allowed to continue.

The result is. Referee David Fields made the right move when he stepped in to stop the fight immediately due to Rolly’s stand.

The way Rolly looked when he stood up, he looked stretched with his legs completely gone. It would be a crime if umpire Fields allowed the action to continue because Rolly’s foot had turned to rubber.

Erislandy Lara beat Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan

In the main assist round, WBA ‘regular’ middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (29-3-3, 17 KOs) showed he still had some fuel left at 39, stopping WBA 10th heavyweight Gary ‘. Spike ‘O’Sullivan (31-5, 21 KOs) in the 1/8 round.

O’Sullivan never seemed to fully recover after being hit hard in the fourth round from a left hit that sent him to the ground in a sluggish reaction.

Lara was like a surgeon after that round, taking his time, picking his shots and hurting 37-year-old O’Sullivan in every round.

At the end of the seventh inning, Lara badly hurt O’Sullivan with a shot near the end of the half. You can tell what O’Sullivan looks like that he won’t make it through to the next round.

Sure enough, in the 1/8th round, Lara injured O’Sullivan with a large left hand that made him stagger. The referee intervened and stopped the game at that point, which was a good stop.
