Via Sam Volz: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis takes on Ryan Garcia again after PBC resends a contract allowing Golden Boy Promotions to be the main promoter in the rematch if Kingry wins their April 15 match.
Chris Mannix is giving the good news of PBC submitting a contract with a change that Golden Boy insisted on asking them to allow Ryan, 24, to fight Tank (28-0.26 KOs) for their Showtime PPV contest exam.
It is unknown whether Golden Boy and Ryan will leave the lucrative tank war if they are not on the right track as the future of the popular Instagram star is very uncertain, as he is about to turn 140. completely unproven at the age of 7 -years professional career.
The amount Ryan earns fighting the top fighters in the light weight division compares to what he makes against Gervonta, 28, a Baltimore native, and the odds of losing are just as high, if I don’t want to say higher.
According to Mannix, the Davis-Garcia match could take place at the 65,000-seat Allegiant Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Golden Boy is said to want to finish the Tank vs Ryan match this week as the promotion/marketing for the April 15th match needs to get going so they can bring in as many pay-per-buys as possible. The more views possible for the match.
Ryan has been looking huge lately and it will be interesting to see how Tank Davis tackles his size advantage in the fight. It shouldn’t be a problem for Ryan to drop to the 136 lb weight limit for the bout as he’s young and he hasn’t struggled to lose weight for his fights yet.
“Honestly, I’m just like everyone else. I don’t really know, but Ryan did look a bit older in his videos and that sort of thing. So at 140, maybe he’ll cause Tank trouble? I don’t know, though. I really don’t know,” featherweight super-rival Andres Cortes told fight when asked if Ryan Garcia can beat Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
“Time to leave the ring [for Ryan Garcia]that can do damage for anyone. I wouldn’t be confident with Ryan, but I think he can do something. I don’t know because even if he goes 12 laps, I think it’s W [for Gervonta Davis],” Cortes said.
