Great Games Quick completion 2023 Raises over $2.6 million, sets four world records in marathon

The annual Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 Charity Speed Marathon came to an end with total donations finally surpassing the $2.6 million mark at the end of the event.
AGDQ 2023 has officially raised $2,641,313 over the course of the week-long event, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Prevention Fund. That number brings the total amount raised during GDQ events to more than $43 million.
Four world records were set during the event, marking the most world records ever achieved in a single Awesome Games Done Quick event. The world record runs are as follows:
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
- Co-op Any% Arcade Benja and Paul-Knives Old Patch: 56 minutes, 18 seconds
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Any % with Jhay’s Bank Run: 2 hours, 54 minutes, 51.33 seconds
- PowerWash Emulator
- 6 Player, All Vehicles, No Soap by Amyrlinn, Bullets, Biglaw, Enigma Requiem, AngelicKnight and Acadiel: 33 minutes 31.7 seconds
- Steven Seagal is the last choice (Template)
- % 9 any exit with Crak Atak: 21 minutes, 44.6 seconds
Other featured activities include Running MitchFlowerPower’s Super Mario Brothers 3 to finish the marathon, fear of Metroid completed in just over an hour and a half, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales completed in just over two and a half hours.
The next Games Done Quick event is an all-girls event Ice marathon benefit the Malala Foundation from February 26 to March 4. The Done Quick 2023 Summer Olympics are scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 4.
