Great outfits in fashion history: Lily Collins’ bow dress at the Costume Designers Association Awards 2013

There are moments that fit perfectly into the celebrity style, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the looks that you do your best to recreate at home. In ‘Great outfits in fashion history,’ Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewds.
Before Lily Collins was “Emily in Paris,” she was (and still is) the sensational headlines. She has a ton of memorable outfits, many of which date back to the early 2010s (Remember when Tumblrcore and Alexa Chung all-time high twee?) Around 2013, the then 23-year-old starred in movies like “Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” — which, of course, means she made her debut. present a lot in award shows.
In Lily Collins’ fashion archive, however, her outfit from the 15th Annual Association of Costume Designers Awards was too good to pass: That year, Collins went to the Beverly Hotel Hilton in Los Angeles in her floor-to-ceiling black dress Paule Kafeatures a deep V and an oversized white bow at the back.

While her now-infamous Netflix character is known for her experimental (and sometimes controversial) fashion, Collins has taken the exact opposite route on this rug, keeping everything classic. The accessories are rebalanced – diamond earrings and ring, so that her giant bow makes the final touch. She completed the look with a bold red lip with matching bright red nails, her bushy brows combed to perfection.
The big bow trend never goes out of style, and with TikTok ballet trends (and everything –core, for that matter), plain ribbons are getting stronger than ever. Collins clearly agrees: She recently wore a sparkly Valentino mini dress to the movie premiere “Emily in Paris” Part 3 in the French capital.
As a certified balletcore fan – so much so that I’ve even written about Hayley Williams full body bow outfit early days as a Fashionista – I firmly believe that bows are dedicated to the greatness of fashion.
