She’s Extreme can get through a wide draw and claim its place in the Golden Sandal

She’s Extreme’s rapid recovery gave Anthony Cummings the confidence to plan a seven-day backup Yellow sandals if she can win on saturday Magic Night Stake.

The filly was an early favorite for the Group 3 sprint after after fortunately debuting fourth on the Kensington track with an eye-catching second against Fireburn on heavy surfaces in Sweet Embrace Stakes.

She’ll need to win at Rosehill to get in Field of Golden Sandals and if she does, Cummings won’t mind running her again in seven days because of how well she passed her Sweet Embrace Stakes effort.

“I’ve been amazed at how well she’s done since then. It makes running on Saturday possible and more than that, it makes redundancy possible,” Cummings said.

“She has good talent, she copes with everything really well and her recovery after each run has been excellent, and faster than I thought.”

The biggest hurdle for She’s Extreme on Saturday could be a wide, dirty draw coming on the 11 of 13 barrier.

She was less consistent than midfield from a wide door from the start of the last game but Cummings says she is flexible and he will mull over racing tactics.

“We’re going to look at the race and figure out what the race pace could be, because she’s capable of speeding,” he said.

“But it needs to be a good idea.”

Stable friend Kote is also expected to take his place in Pago Pago Share (1200m) after being scratched from Canterbury on Thursday.

The dark horse finished in seventh place and is just 2-1/2 behind winner Nipotino on his debut at Canterbury last month, but the run was better than it came when he ran three wide throughout. and still find the straight line resolutely.

“He made it difficult but kept coming. There’s a lot to like about that and he’s been playing well ever since,” Cummings said.

There has been some speculation for Kote with long odds with the youngster increasing his price from $61 to $41, although blueblood Magic remains a Pago Pago favorite at $2.30.
