90s internet emulator makers, Hypnospace Outlawannounced two new games set in the same universe as the popular narrative adventure. The first game is another internet simulator, this game is inspired by the internet of the 2000s called Dreamsettler, and the second is a first person shooter called Slayers X: The Final Aftermath: Slayer’s Vengance Later Hypnospace character Zane Lofton. The game is being developed by studios Tendershoot and Noble Robot and published by No More Robots.
According to a release, both the newly announced games are “coming soon” on PC and Windows consoles. Both built from independent love Hypnospace Outlawhas a particular eye for the kind of playful design and internet quirks that characterized surfing during the 90s.
In Dreamsettler You will spend time browsing bizarre websites throughout the 2000s. In it, you will be asked to solve mysteries and unravel global conspiracies. An announcement trailer teases some of the sites players will encounter this time around, and the overall look really leans towards the fun of the 3D designs that were in vogue during that time period.
Slayers X is a slightly different beast, as it is a first-person shooter rather than a point-and-click adventure. In the release, the developers described it as an “explosive comedy shooter” where you will play as Hypnospace favorite and wonderful resident Zane Lofton. Slayers X will tell his story as he tries to take down Psyko Sindikate, “who is using Hackblood energy to bring his evil foes back to life and take over the world,” a statement said.
