NEW DELHI: Geological Survey of India (GSI) said on Thursday it had found lithium deposits for the first time in the country.
India has recently been looking to boost its supply of key minerals, including lithium, which will be crucial to fueling the country’s electric vehicle plans.
5.9 million tons Lithium inferred resources have been established in Reasi district of the northern union territory of Jammu And KashmirGSI said in a statement.
