Jake Paul accepts Khabib Nurmagomedov’s invitation to fight for MMA promotion
Boxing YouTuber Paul has flirted with a move to the cage in recent weeks and was in preliminary talks with the PFL before Nurmagomedov made the offer.

Jake Paul has accepted Khabib Nurmagomedov’s MMA promotion for his cage debut – if his first fight is against the UFC legend.
The YouTuber flirted by exchanging rings for cages, even held preliminary talks with the PFL and tagged Bellator in a video of him practicing his kicks.
But he has now told legendary MMA fighter Nurmagomedov that he will be participating in the promotion of Eagle FC, which will make its US debut next weekend.
However, he wants a duel with the retired former UFC lightweight champion before agreeing to join the newly formed promotion, who have already signed Rashad Evans and Kevin Lee.
Paul had mock Dana White by declaring that he will debut in middleweight for his health as he fights in the cage, while most boxers cut the bulk to create a smaller tier.
And in response, Nurmagomedov invited him to join his promotion, saying: “The door of Eagle Fight Club is always open to you and your team.”

Paul responded in Russian and English with a simple text that read “Agreement. Only if I fight you first”.
The YouTube star won 5-0 as a professional boxer with four knockouts, including a stoppage-time victory over UFC champion Tyron Woodley, former Bellator champion and ONE FC champion Ben Askren.
He also has extensive expertise in high school wrestling as well as high level play, which has helped with the success of some of the top MMA fighters such as Eryk Anders, Brendan Schaub and Matt Mitrione.
But a brief foray into the world of MMA saw him Submitted within two innings by featherweight Bellator AJ Agazarm in 2017, before he started boxing.
He is known to be an admirer of Nurmagomedov’s, and once said that he was one of the only opponents with whom he did not engage in trash talk.
And he even expressed interest in Join the American Kickboxing Academywhere Nurmagomedov trained under coach Javier Mendez.
During his rematch with Woodley last month, Paul told reporters in Florida that when he inevitably had to fight in the cage, it would be under their supervision as a member of Team Khabib.

“They’re down, 100% – I have to win 10-0 or 12-0 in boxing first and then I’ll hit that MMA fight.”
Mendez later countered the claim that they were “100%” interested in working with him, noting that he would need to be voted into the gym by another boxer.
“It can happen but like anyone you know, we have to go through all the coaches and all the boxers that are here and whoever is a famous athlete like him. there,” he said Schmo many weeks later.
“They’re going to follow the same process everyone does so he’s going to have to be voted on. First, he’s never asked. What he does is he markets himself beautifully. .
