Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis “invincible” says Kenny Porter

Via Allan Fox: Coach Kenny Porter says Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis is “invincible” at 25, but he wants to see him hit a few more games before facing Errol Spence Jr & Terence Crawford.
Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs) probably wouldn’t hit a few more fights before challenging Errol Spence Jr for the IBF welterweight title if he hadn’t vacated it and run away to junior middle class to play it safe.
Tonight, ‘Boots’ Ennis will fight for the 147 lb interim IBF title against Karen Chukhadzhian (21-1, 11 KOs) on the Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis card vs. Hector Luis Garcia on Showtime PPV at the Gym Capitol One in Washington DC
If ‘Boots’ Ennis wins the IBF interim title, Spence will have 120 days to face him or be stripped of the title by the International Boxing Federation after their next bout in April.
So far, Spence hasn’t said he’ll be in that bout with Ennis, which suggests that he’ll drop his IBF belt and towards the hillsmove to 154, where he won’t need to worry about him.
“He is an active fighter. His abilities for me, I see between his dad, Bozy and his brothers, Farrah & Pooh, Ennis, for me, is a combination of all three,” Kenny Porter told KO Sports Artist about Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.
“I still think Boots needs a few more battles to get to that levelbut he’s on that level,” Porter said when asked how Jaron Ennis was going against Terence Crawford & Errol Spence Jr.
“I can see him getting that win [against Crawford]. It was a tougher fight for him,” Kenny said of Spence being a tougher fight for Boots Ennis. “It was a bigger man in the night of the fight, a much different style in terms of strength and difference in size.

“Errol caused more problems than Terence. That one, I’m on the fence with that one. If they fought today, I would say Errol [beats Boots Ennis]. They don’t fight today.
“Shawn duel with Farrah, a very talented fighter and extremely skillful defender. I watched his brother, Pooh, an offensive-minded fighter. He was very agile, quick, reflexive and flawless, and then the father actually worked with me with Shawn early on in Shawn’s career.
“So his mind was borderline genius, and took from those two and combined it and put it in this son [Boots Ennis]better than him, better than the other brothers, it’s phenomenal.
“The kid is really, really great, and his lineage. He was born and raised up here. Like you wake up in the morning and eat cereal, that’s what he’s sitting there. His father and his brothers, they are his team. They are in his corner. So yeah, he’s got a great thing going on,” Porter said.
