Jeremy Clarkson known for not giving any f**ks, but oh this latest review of Meghan Markle is on another level.
the Old top gear The host wrote a column for the UK newspaper Sun over the weekend in which he described his burning hatred for the Duchess of Sussex. He stated in the op-ed that he hates Meghan “on a cellular level”, specifically comparing his feelings for her to western rose, a female serial killer in England in the 80s. And guess what? He hates Meghan more than a real killer!!
In addition to just calling the specific behavior unsuitable for royalty or anything civilized like that, he instead happily describes wanting to see her stripped naked and tortured like Queen Cersei in Game of Thrones:
“At night I couldn’t sleep as I lay there, gritting my teeth and dreaming of the day she marched naked through the streets of every town in England while the crowd chanted, ‘What a shame!’ and threw faeces at her.
YES. OH. Ipso, the independent press standards organization, told BBC Friday’s article received more than 6,000 complaints over the weekend. To put that in context, last year, Ipso only received 14,000 complaints about everything combined. For the whole year 2021.
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola sturgeon is also mentioned in the article as another woman Jeremy hates. She told Time About the work:
“I think what he said about Meghan Markle was a profound misogynist and downright awful and appalling. My overwhelming feeling about people like Jeremy Clarkson is pity. I mean, what made someone so hated to end up writing these things? I think that might give some insight into Jeremy Clarkson and who he is. So maybe he just needs to take a step back from things and just think about life a little more.
mayor of london Sadiq Khan explode op-ed on Twitterspeak:
“As Jeremy Clarkson should know well – words have consequences. The words in his work are no joke – they are dangerous and unforgivable. We are in a pandemic of violence against women and girls and men with strong voices must do better than this.”
That’s a really good point. The Great tourism the server might just be spewing trash, just words and pictures, no matter how weird it may be. But there are people who listen to this kind of talk and act. More than ever, it seems.
Even Jeremy’s stepdaughter Emily Clarkson add her voice to the disgusting choir, continued Instagram:
“My position has been and has always been clear when it comes to media stigmatization, bullying and treatment of women. I want to make it clear that I oppose everything my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I still support those targeted by online hatred.”
By Monday morning, it was clear that Jeremy had received the message. The 62-year-old posted an apology on Twitter, writing:
“Oh my God. I’d rather set foot in it. In a column about Meghan, I clumsy about a Game of Thrones scene that made a lot of people feel bad. I am appalled that I have caused so much damage and I will be more careful in the future.”
