Joyce 6’6 ″ (14-0, 13 KOs) beat Parker (30-2, 21 KOs) today at the final press conference. Joyce looks significantly taller and heavier than the 30-year-old Parker.

Joyce says he hopes Parker can be on his bike Saturday night instead of standing and trading like he did in the last two games against Derek Chisora. Parker has won the last five competitions since losing in head-to-head bouts to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

“We are just ready to fight and we want to get on with it. Joe Joyce said to Boxing ID about his fight this Saturday night against Joseph Parker.

“I was friendly with him before. I met him in Vegas a few times. We’ll punch each other in the face and body on Saturday night. So we need to put that aside and get to work because it’s a sport. It is a brutal sport.

“Yes, this is not about speed. I have time, I have experience, and I am tough and many things. I’m not only tough and can shoot and throw a lot of punches. There are also many of my games.

“I think he will be quick, good technique. He can take a shot, and his foot and head movement can be difficult early on. He’s definitely going to be the game, trying to make innings.

“It will be a really tough fight. You can. He can try that,” Joyce said when told Parker would probably be cycling Saturday night. “I don’t know exactly what his plans and tactics are, but we’ll find out.

“I have a lot of plans A, B, C and D if he changes things up. It will be a great fight, technically and physically. We’re both going to play to find out who’s the best Joe.

“Let’s see what happens. All this talk and stuff is one thing, but actually, in the ring, we’re both going to come from great training camps, and it’s going to be fireworks and booms and see who’s Joe is better. This Joe by stopping,” Joyce said.
