Jon Gosselin had a ‘hard’ time listening to his daughter Mady discuss his childhood harassment on TikTok
Jon Gosselin is speaking out after his daughter Gosselin’s Madness handle childhood harassment she’s faced since rising to fame on her family’s reality series Jon & Kate Extra 8.
If you missed it, the 22-year-old claps his hands in response to the above trolls TikTok earlier this week. While revealing that she has been receiving “hate letters” since she was a child, she asked her fans to stop making assumptions about her family because their comments affect her life. her real and her siblings. She captioned her sullen rant, writing:
“I’ve been receiving hate mail since I was 6, but that doesn’t mean you need to keep sending it. Learn to respect people’s boundaries and practice kindness.”

In the video, she goes on to address the issue of online bullying she has faced for most of her life, saying:
“This is the only time I am going to deal with this because it is pushing me off limits. The rhetoric in many of my comments about childhood trauma and healing and anything you want to say about my family, my life, my parents, anything that isn’t business. your. As is the case with everyone else around the world, it’s nobody else’s business to have them deal behind closed doors if they don’t want it to be yours.”
Talking about my twin sister Cara and younger siblings, born six 18 years old alexis, Hanoi, aaden, Collin, LeahAnd Joelshe continued:
“It is extremely harmful to continue the story that we are spoiled or that we are crazy child stars or whatever you want to say, because myself and my brothers and sisters are walking out. world and will become members of society with a career.”

It’s obviously been tough for Mady to grow up in the limelight – especially with her parents’ dramatic divorce Kate Gosselin and Jon and the media frenzy that followed her family over the years. But it turned out that her father had a hard time hearing her clapping in response to haters.

Talking to contact On Thursday, an insider revealed that Jon was struggling after watching Mady’s TikTok, sharing:
“Watching Mady deal with this was difficult for Jon because he learned that, despite his best efforts, he had no control over parenting and had little control over the TLC attorney and the mother of his children, Kate [Gosselin].”
The source went on to explain that this is why the former TV personality has fought so hard to prevent his children from becoming stars on his family’s show, adding:
“Public scrutiny is exactly what Jon was trying to avoid for his children when he filed a petition asking them to stop filming in 2009.”
If you don’t remember, in 2009, the network was forced to stop filming the popular series after receiving an order to stop filming from Jon, according to CBS. The legal issue arose just weeks after the couple filed for divorce, and since the show is planning to reduce Jon’s involvement, there’s been a lot of tension between the pair. In a statement, Kate said at the time:
“I am saddened and confused by Jon’s social media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children’s participation in the program and, in fact, he has said that he believes the program benefits their children. me and filmed on Friday with the kids.
Similar problems arose in 2019 when Jon said DailyMailTV he was very angry with his ex-wife and TLC reported it violate a court order to film children after a judge ruled that it was “not in the best interests” of the children to continue allowing them to film for reality television in 2018.
In recent years, the family has been divided after two children, Collin and Hannah, decided to live full-time with their father while the others stayed with Kate. As Collin revealed late last year, he did not contact with his estranged siblings for about five or six years. It’s very messy, so it’s no wonder it’s hard for a patriarch to realize just how negative the spotlight is on his children’s lives. But it’s good that Mady is using her voice and quelling the trolls.
