Jony Ive’s latest design symbolizes the coronation of King Charles

Jony Ive and his design firm LoveFrom designed the logo for King Charles III’s coronation, according to a new page on the Royal website. The emblem will be used throughout the festivities surrounding the king’s coronation in May and on official coronation items.
“It is an honor to be able to contribute to this remarkable national event, and our team is very proud of the work,” Ive said in a statement about the icon. “The design is inspired by King Charles’ love of nature, the planet, and deep concern for the natural world.
“The symbolism speaks to the joyful optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of this new Carolean era for the UK. The gentle modesty of these natural forms come together to define a symbol that acknowledges both the joyful and poignant importance of the occasion.”
The coronation symbol is actually not Ive and LoveFrom’s first work for King Charles. The design firm also created the Terra Carta Seal, which recognizes sustainability efforts from private companies, in partnership with then the Prince of Wales in 2021.
