Kanye West sparked outrage on Thursday by declaring his “love” for the Nazis and admiration for Adolf Hitler himself during an hour-long live stream with the sound theorist. Conspiracy Alex Jones.
During his phenomenal appearance on Jones’ Infowars, West – now known as Ye – donned a black mask that completely covered his face, as he raved about sin, pornography and demons.
“I like Hitler,” West said at one point.
Although West had his face covered – the mask had no slits for eyes and mouth – there seemed to be no doubt that it was him. Jones calls him West when they talk, Infowars credits the interview as with West, and at one point Jones took West’s phone and posted a tweet on his account that appeared in real time. .
West, who has vowed to run for president of the United States in 2024, has spoken openly about his struggles with mental illness, but his erratic behavior continues to cause concern.
The rapper and businessman has seen his commercial relationships fall apart following a series of anti-Semitic comments.
But during a lengthy appearance on an Infowars live stream, West showed no remorse, prompting far-right host Jones to laugh and even disagree.
“I also see good things about Hitler,” he told Jones.
“This guy… invented the highway, invented the microphone that I used as a musician, you can’t say out loud that this person has ever done anything nice , and I got the job done.
“I’ve finished sorting, every human being has something of value that they bring to the table, especially Hitler.
“I like Hitler.”
Jones, a mass provocateur who was ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in damages for calling one of America’s deadliest school shootings a “hoax”, interjected that “Germany The Nazis were thugs and did really bad things.”
West did not back down.
“But they also did good things. We have to stop destroying the Nazis all the time… I love the Nazis.”
In October, German sportswear giant Adidas severed its lucrative partnership with the West after the star made anti-Semitic statements, including threatening to “execute 3 Jews”, misspelled US military readiness.
Paris fashion house Balenciaga and US clothing retailer Gap also ended ties with West, who appeared at a fashion show in Paris wearing a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter”, a rebuke to the Black Lives Matter racial equality movement.
West appeared on the show Jones alongside Nick Fuentes, the very white supremacist West with whom West dined last week with Donald Trump at the former president’s Florida mansion, in a meeting that sparked anger.
Thursday’s live stream prompted immediate condemnation from the Republican Jewish Coalition, which called the three men “a disgusting trio of conspiracy theorists, denizens of accept the Holocaust and the anti-Semitists.”
“With his praise for Hitler, it cannot be overstated that Kanye West was an evil, loathed bigot who targeted the Jewish community with threats and defamation of sorts. Nazi Germany,” a statement from the union said.
“Conservatives who have mistakenly been infatuated with Kanye West must make it clear that he is a pervert. Enough is enough.”
