Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have finally settled their messy, bitter divorce – and now it looks like the legal troubles are behind them.
Based on TMZopening ceremony American Idol the winner and her ex-husband are legally bound in the final terms of the divorcejust signed by a Judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles Scott Gordon.
Under the terms, Kelly would have primary custody of the former couple’s two children. As it stands, the kids will visit Brandon – who lives full-time in Montana at this point – at least one weekend each month.
However, that guardianship agreement could soon change, because the farm in question where Brandon lives is actually officially one of Kelly’s properties! Under the divorce settlement, she was allowed to keep the property in her name, and Blackstock was only allowed to live there until June 1. In return, he had to pay rent on the place – at $12,500 a month. Roaring!
However, we assume it will give him a few months to land on his feet. As of June 1, if Brandon decides to move out of Montana, the existing once-monthly guardianship agreement will be reevaluated.
Financially, Kelly’s prenuptial agreement has been declared legally valid despite Brandon’s prior challenge to the document. That’s a good thing for the daytime talk show host, who reportedly makes around $20 million a year (!!!), and now legally gets to keep ALL of that. However, she will owe Brandon temporary spousal support at $115,000 per month! OH! However, that payday will only last until January 2024.
Brandon will also receives $45,600 a month in child support, an amount that “reflects the costs he has to pay to make sure the kids can stay comfortably” when they visit him abroad, according to the report. TMZ. The country eventually paid Brandon $1.3 million as part of the deal.
All of that – especially the custody and child support arrangements – still seem to be slightly altered if Brandon moves out of Montana and notices a change in his cost of living. me. But more or less, the former couple is now considering a final complete divorce, with all the details worked out.
‘This is a season of change for Kelly, who also legally changed her name recently to better reflect her current situation. We are just happy She’s now completely passed all this legal dramaand freely carry on with her life however she sees fit!
