Kissonallforcheeks will be out to improve her already impressive eastern states record as she lines up at Moonee Valley.
The mare, currently in the hands of Nick Ryan at Flemington, will run in Shares Group 2 shares (1600 million) on friday night – weather depends.
Ryan said the mare will take her place Friday night as long as there is no downpour.
He say Group 2 Rose Of Kingston Stakes (1400m) in Flemington on October 1st and Group 2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on October 15 are fallback options.
Kissonallforcheeks arrived from Perth in the fall to claim Shaftesbury Avenue Group 3 shares (1400m) in Flemington for Dan Morton before venturing to Sydney for a run in Doncaster Group 1 Handicap (1600m) at Randwick.
After finishing last on the wet track, the Kissonallforcheeks returned to Melbourne to finish fourth behind Ayrton in Group 3 Victoria Handicap (1400m) at Caulfield.
Kissonallforcheeks prepared this campaign by Ryan, who produced the mare that won the first third at Caulfield before winning the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) in Flemington on September 10.
“We’re happy with the way she got through Let’s Elope, she really trained and got the jacket on,” Ryan said.
“She’s had a couple of viewings of The Valley, her second on Monday morning where she’s really good.”
However, to win the 1600m, Ryan is confident that she will complete the trip and relationships have Group 1 Empire Rose Stakes as the target of the mare in this campaign.
Ryan said: “We have a lot of confidence in Mort’s (Morton) that she will do well, so there’s no problem there.
“I think she improved with each run. She only had one jump to the top in her first run.
“She came from there and she got through Let’s Elope really well and you can see that by looking at her that her coat has really come off.”
