Kyler Murray: Las Vegas police investigate incident in which fan allegedly assaulted NFL quarterback

Authorities in Las Vegas are investigating after a fan at a Sunday game between the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders allegedly hit an NFL player.

In the chaos following the Cardinals’ snooping return to win the game, video shot by CNN branch KPNX Sports anchor Cameron Cox appears to show off an audience attack Arizona midfielder Kyler Murray in his head as Murray celebrated with spectators in the stands.

Murray then appeared to attempt to confront the man but was overpowered by his teammates.

It’s unclear if the man intended to contact Murray in that way, as it was a rowdy scene in the end area with many people reaching out their hands to try to touch Murray.

Police are currently looking into “a phone call alleging a stadium spectator hit a professional football player,” a Las Vegas police spokesman told CNN.

A crime report has been made and an investigation is underway. According to police, the suspect has not yet been identified.

CNN has reached out to the Cardinals and Raiders.

Murray is in his fourth season in the NFL. He’s been voted into the Pro Bowl for the past two seasons and was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019.

He has developed into one of the most dynamic midfielders in the league. During his three seasons in the NFL, he threw 11,480 yards and 70 touchdowns as well as ran 1,786 yards and 20 touchdowns.
