This will be Lamborghini’s first racing engine with a complete evolution from the brand’s Squadra Corse racing wing.

The hybrid-assisted twin-turbo V8 powertrain is sure to make 671 PS of power. The car will feature a Bosch engine generator and an technically advanced battery pack sourced from Williams. Transmission duties will be performed by an Xtrac-sourced seven-speed P1359 transmission.

LMDH riders have a claimed weight of 1,030 kg without fuel or rider. They are required to have a maximum length of 5.1 meters and a width of 2.0 meters. The vehicles are capable of reaching a top speed of 340 km/h.

Under LMDh regulations, manufacturers must choose a chassis supplier, and for Lamborghini, the chassis will be provided by Ligier. The car comes with Y-shaped LED daytime running lights and razor-sharp details, which have the influence of Lamborghini road supercars.

Talking about its racing journey, the Lamborghini LMDh race car will start racing in 2024. This means it will miss the first year of competition in this category, as the race for the machines will be. begins at the Rolex 24 in Daytona in January 2023.

The Lamborghini LMDC race car will compete with rivals such as Acura AR24e, Alpine, BMW car M Hybrid V8, Cadillac GTP Hypercar, and Porsche 963. Ferrari is working on an entry in a separate Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) class.
