But Bayern chief executive Oliver Kahn said on Wednesday: “Lewandowski has a contract until 2023 and we expect to see him on the first day of the season.
“The situation has not changed. Robert has a contract with us for another year and we are delighted that he is joining us for the first day of training.”
Bayern just spent 32 million euros to bring Sadio Mane from Liverpool but there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to offload Lewandowski.
It is reported that Barcelona have offered 40 million euros for the Polish striker, although Bayern claim he is not for sale.
