LinkedIn launches its own podcast network

No wonder the shows are geared towards professional audiences. They focus on areas including being tech-savvy, managing mental health, and explaining the hiring process. Reid Hoffman, co-founder and executive chairman of LinkedIn, will co-host a personal entrepreneurship podcast called Your Start-up will be released this spring.

The company says the LinkedIn Podcast Network is a pilot and builds on the success of hello monday, a podcast produced by LinkedIn News in which host Jessi Hempel delves into the ever-evolving nature of the work. The programs are ad-supported and the original sponsor is Verizon, Engadget’s former parent company.

The podcast network links to other LinkedIn products – such as newsletters, , videos and posts – with the idea that the presenter and audience will be able to keep the conversations going outside of the show. Listeners will be able to watch podcasts live on LinkedIn if they follow the servers and subscribe to their newsletter. Shows will also be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other podcast platforms.
