Around this time, we previously covered the singer – who has battled addiction for years – opioid relapse and started taking weight loss pills trying to look her best to celebrate the movie at the Golden Globes. She is said to have lost between 40 and 50 pounds in the six weeks leading up to the awards ceremony. But beyond her looks, TMZ sources claim Globe’s stress was part of the reason she started taking drugs. As a family member bluntly put it:
“If it weren’t for the Golden Globes, Lisa might still be alive today.”
Whoa… This is heartbreaking to hear. Lisa is noticeably unstable on the red carpet night of the event. More host Billy Bushwho did one of the last interviews with the artist, recalls her being “very unbalanced,” adding:
“The speech was very slow. And, sure enough, when the interview was over, I turned to the producer next to me and said, ‘Something’s wrong here.’”
Then, two days later, she grievingly went into complete cardiac arrest and died at the hospital.
