Lisa Marie Presley memorial to be held at Graceland

A public memorial has been planned at Graceland for Lisa Marie Presley.
Singer and songwriter died last week after admission after obvious cardiac arrest.
She was 54.
According to a statement on Graceland’s website, The memorial service is open to the public and will be held at 9:00 a.m. on January 22 on the front lawn of Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.
“Instead of flowers, the family is encouraging everyone who wants to send something in to do so in the form of a donation to The Elvis Presley Charity,” a statement on the site read.
The Elvis Presley Foundation supports the arts, education, and efforts on behalf of children in the Memphis area.
Elvis Presley bought this property in 1957 when he was just 22 years old.
He died in the mansion of cardiac arrest in 1977 and is buried on the grounds of Graceland, which is now a museum and tourist attraction. Lisa Marie Presley will also be buried there, along with her son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27.
The Graceland Estate was entrusted to Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, until her 25th birthday.
“Lisa Marie Presley is more closely involved with the management team of The Elvis Presley Trust and its business unit, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE), of which she was the owner and Chairman of the Board until February 2005 when she sold an interest in the company,” according to Graceland’s website.
Over the weekend, grief expert David Kessler shared a photo of him and Presley on his verified Instagram accountwrote that she had asked him to go with her to Memphis to celebrate her late father’s 88th birthday a few days before her death.
“She has countless invitations on the weekend, but for her, only three things matter: attending her father’s birthday celebration, spending time at the grave of her son and father later. when the tour left Graceland, and met the mother who had just passed away,” Kesler wrote.
He writes that Presley has actively helped others deal with their grief, including co-hosting grieving groups with him at her home for other bereaved parents. .
Kessler wrote that the time they visited Graceland was “very happy and she is very optimistic” and that “Graceland is her happy place and the staff who know her all share that she looks so much better. .”
“She looks more peaceful and is very proud of the Elvis film. Saturday night we sat by her father’s grave,” he wrote. “We talked about the heartbreak she grew up with and the more recent devastation of her son’s death. She showed me where she would be buried someday. I said there was a long way… and she said yes, I have a lot of work to do.”
Presley is survived by three daughters, actress Riley Keough and twins Finley and Harper Lockwood. A representative for Graceland confirm with everyone that they will inherit the estate.
